Sticky Honey Garlic Ribs – Fall-Off-The-Bone Tender!
Byvda31
- 2 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or white vinegar)
- 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ribs
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season the ribs with salt and pepper on both sides. Wrap in foil and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 2.5–3 hours, or until tender. Alternatively, boil the ribs for 1 hour until soft.
Step 2: Make the Sauce
- Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and sesame oil. Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
- Add the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
Step 3: Glaze the Ribs
- Remove the cooked ribs from the oven or pot. Brush them generously with the honey garlic sauce.
- For a sticky caramelized finish, broil the ribs in the oven at high heat for 3–5 minutes or grill them over medium-high heat, turning frequently and basting with more sauce.
Step 4: Serve
- Transfer the ribs to a serving platter and drizzle with any remaining sauce.
- Garnish with sesame seeds or fresh herbs if desired.
