Fried Potatoes with Onion: A Classic Comfort Dish

1. Prepare the Potatoes
- Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly, about ⅛”–¼” thick.
2. Fry the Potatoes
- Heat oil in a seasoned frying pan or non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully add the potato slices to the hot oil.
- Fry the potatoes for 20-25 minutes, flipping them occasionally to ensure even cooking. Avoid stirring too much to keep the slices intact.
3. Add the Onions
- When the potatoes are almost crispy, add the sliced onions to the pan.
- Continue cooking for 5 minutes, allowing the onions to soften and caramelize.
4. Season and Garnish
- Season the potatoes and onions with salt and pepper to taste.
- Gently toss to combine, being careful not to break the potato slices.
- Garnish with chopped green onions.

- Transfer the fried potatoes and onions to a serving plate.
