Decadent Chocolate Ganache Torte – A Luxurious Dessert for Chocolate Lovers

  1. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Do not let it boil.
  2. Pour the hot cream over the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  3. Stir in the butter until melted and glossy. Set aside to cool slightly until it thickens but remains spreadable.

Step 3: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. Set aside.

Step 4: Assemble the Torte

  1. Place one cake layer on a serving platter or cake board. Spread a generous layer of mascarpone filling evenly over the top.
  2. Place the second cake layer on top and gently press down.
  3. Pour the slightly cooled ganache over the top of the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides. Use a spatula to spread it evenly for a smooth finish.

Step 5: Chill and Serve

  1. Refrigerate the assembled torte for at least 30 minutes to allow the ganache to set.
  2. Slice and serve chilled or at room temperature. Garnish with fresh berries, chocolate shavings, or a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.
